I’ll tell you about school’s events in a year. There are many events.
Welcome weeks are held in before classes start and the first week of classes. Many events are hosted during these two weeks to welcome student to campus.
Hispanic Heritage Month starts in middle September and goes to middle October typically includes music, lectures, cultural activities and parties to celebrate Hispanic culture.
Artemas World typically held in late September or early October. This event celebrates Artemas World.
National Coming Out Week is early October week.
Family weekend is late October weekend. Students invite families to campus. Many events are hosted this week end, including theater and dance performances and so on.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration is annual January event. This celebrates Dr. King typically through music, song and lectures.
Black History Month is during February.
American University celebrates black history with lectures, musical celebrations, parties and other events.
Founder’s Day Ball is held in late February.
The SG Spring Elections are held in early April.
Asian Pacific Heritage Month is held in April. This month-long celebration often includes music, lectures, performances and food from several different Asian cultures.
Spring Fling is typically in middle to late April. This week usually includes a carnival on the Quad and other festivities.
