When Japanese eat foods, we use chopsticks.
Using them is very easy for us, but it seems very difficult for foreigners.
Chopsticks are used by the people live in the east part of Asia.
Recently the astronauts also use chopsticks because they can hold foods well.
It is made from woods, bamboo and so on. Usually, chopsticks are symmetry.
Also their designs are symmetry.
Chopsticks have a point to touch foods one side of them.
We can distinguish which side is used to touch foods by the design and shape.
Sometimes we use “Hashioki” used to put chopsticks.
You hold them on your dominant. You hold one stick like a pencil.
Then put the other one between the middle finger and the ring finger.
This is the traditional way to use chopsticks.
